A bill to amend 1976 PA 451, entitled

"The revised school code,"

(MCL 380.1 to 380.1852) by adding section 1308d.

the people of the state of michigan enact:

Sec. 1308d. (1) Beginning with the 2024-2025 school year, the governing body of a public school or nonpublic school shall ensure that it adopts and implements the standardized response terminology plan described in section 1308c.

(2) As used in this section, "governing body" means the board of a school district, an intermediate school board, the board of directors of a public school academy, or the governing body of a nonpublic school.

Enacting section 1. This amendatory act does not take effect unless Senate Bill No.____ or House Bill No. 4096 (request no. 01075'23) of the 102nd Legislature is enacted into law.
