Summary

Requiring the Department of the Environment, on or before October 1, 2024, to develop outdoor lighting standards that consider energy consumption, environmental, public health, and public safety impacts of outdoor lighting; and requiring the Department to consult with the Maryland Department of Health, the Maryland Energy Administration, and the State Highway Administration in developing the standards.
