Summary

Prohibiting the Department of Natural Resources from designating more than 25% of the available oyster habitat in the waters of the State as oyster sanctuaries unless the Department conducts a public hearing during which the Department presents scientific evidence of a significant increase in the harvestable oyster population; providing that a person who receives a citation for an offense related to unlawfully taking oysters may have a license to catch oysters revoked; requiring a specified hearing under specified circumstances; etc.
