An Act excluding payments for foster care in computing rent and determining eligibility for subsidized housing. ..



                Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

            SECTION 1.  Section 32 of Chapter 121B of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2006 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after the sixth paragraph the following new paragraph:-
In determining the net income of the tenant family for the purpose of computing the rent and determining eligibility for admission and continued occupancy, adoption assistance payments in excess of $480 per year per adopted child shall be excluded from income.  In determining the net income of the tenant family for the purpose of computing the rent and determining eligibility for admission and continued occupancy, payments received for the care of foster children or foster adults shall be excluded from income.
