An Act requiring public utilities to provide prepaid postage to
elderly persons.
Be
it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Court
assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Chapter 25 of the General Laws is hereby amended by adding the following section: — Section 19. Every electric, gas, telephone and telegraph company doing business in the commonwealth and subject to the jurisdiction of the department shall provide in all of its requests for payment to persons sixty-five years of age or over a return envelope with postage prepaid.
