Create a new section of KRS Chapter 216B to establish the Emergency Medical Services Advisory Committee in the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to study the provision of emergency medical services and medical transportation; repeal, reenact, and amend sections of KRS Chapter 311A relating to the Board of Emergency Medical Services as new sections of KRS Chapter 216B to abolish the Board of Emergency Medical Services and transfer responsibilities to the Office of the Inspector General in the Cabinet for Health and Family Services; establish a maximum response time of 60 minutes for a ground ambulance provider; require the office to revise the current classification system for ambulance providers by administrative regulation; repeal and reenact KRS 311A. 027, 311A.150, and 311A.195 as new sections of KRS Chapter 216B with no amendments; make conforming amendments in various statutes; require existing administrative regulations promulgated by the board to remain in effect until the office amends or repeals after review; conclude all affairs of the Board of Emergency Medicine and transfer all responsibilities to the office; repeal KRS 311A.015, 311A.040, 311A.055, 311A.070, and 311A.075; EMERGENCY.
