SENATE RESOLUTION

     MADAM PRESIDENT:

    I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:

    A SENATE RESOLUTION thanking Verizon for its continued support of the Indiana Senate legislative internship program.

    Whereas, Verizon has continuously demonstrated a commitment to the educational, political, and public service opportunities afforded to the participants in the Senate legislative internship program;

    Whereas, Each intern is a superb young person devoted to a keener understanding of Indiana's legislative process; and

    Whereas, Verizon's willingness to provide scholarships to outstanding legislative interns from each of the General Assembly's caucuses enables legislators and staff alike to recognize and reward exemplary job performance among interns: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. The Indiana Senate thanks Verizon for its continued support of the Indiana Senate legislative internship program.
