SENATE RESOLUTION

     MADAM PRESIDENT:

    I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:

    A SENATE RESOLUTION congratulating the Canterbury High School girls basketball team on winning the Division A state championship.

    Whereas, After a disappointing loss last season, the Fort Wayne Canterbury girls basketball team rallied back and fought their way to the state championship game;

    Whereas, The Cavaliers pulled out an impressive 64-54 win over a talented Northeast Dubois team, adding a fourth state title in the past five years;

    Whereas, High scorers for the game included: Bailey Farley with 15 points, Aaliyah Gaines with 10 points, Darby Maggard with 17 points, and Kindell Fincher with 15 points and 15 rebounds;

    Whereas, The Cavaliers fought valiantly to win back their state championship title. Their determination and teamwork secured a victory, returning them to their reigning position as the Division A girls basketball state champions: Therefore

Be it resolved by the Senate of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. The Indiana Senate congratulates the Fort Wayne Canterbury High School girls basketball team on their Division A state championship.
    SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the Canterbury High School girls basketball team.
