SENATE RESOLUTION

     MADAM PRESIDENT:

    I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:

    A SENATE RESOLUTION honoring Steven Cull for achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

    Whereas, The Boy Scouts of America is a reputable organization aimed to help young men build character, develop personal fitness, and practice good citizenship;

    Whereas, The rank of Eagle Scout is the highest advancement rank in Boy Scouting and is a significant honor bestowed only on a small fraction of those who enter the scouting movement;

    Whereas, An Eagle Scout candidate must earn 21 merit badges, serve in a troop position of responsibility, and plan and execute a service project that will benefit his community;

    Whereas, Steven Cull has attained the rank of Eagle Scout;

    Whereas, As an Eagle Scout, Steven Cull joins an elite group that includes United States Presidents, members of Congress, astronauts, writers, scientists, and judges; and

    Whereas, The dedication to excellence in the pursuit of his

goals that Steven Cull has demonstrated prove him worthy to stand among scouting's elite: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. The Indiana Senate honors and congratulates Steven Cull on becoming an Eagle Scout and wishes him continued success in all his future endeavors.
    SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Steven Cull.
