MADAM PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:

Association of Cities and Towns' Indiana Drug Card Program.
Whereas, The Indiana Drug Card Program is an initiative
of the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns to provide
citizens of Indiana with discounts on prescription drugs and
other medical services;
Whereas, The Indiana Drug Card Program was created as
a way to encourage people to continue using local pharmacies
rather than using national and international mail order
services;
Whereas, Encouraging people to use local pharmacies
helps keep local pharmacists employed;
Whereas, When people visit their local pharmacy, they have
an opportunity to discuss medications directly with a

complications of taking certain medications at the same time;

medications of more than thirty percent;
Whereas, The Indiana Drug Card is funded through the
support of corporate pharmacies and pharmaceutical
companies;
Whereas, The Indiana Drug Card requires no enrollment
forms, no age, income or other eligibility restrictions, no
annual or lifetime benefit limits, and covers pre-existing
conditions;
Whereas, The Indiana Drug Card is a confidential discount
drug program for both insured and uninsured residents;
Whereas, The Indiana Drug Card is accepted by more than
56,000 pharmacies nationwide and can be used on brand and
generic medications, as well as other medical benefits and
