MADAM PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
A SENATE RESOLUTION honoring the Senate
Republican Interns for their service during the First Regular
Session of the One Hundred Seventeenth Indiana General
Assembly.
Whereas, During this First Regular Session of the One
Hundred Seventeenth Indiana General Assembly, the Senate
Republican Interns have provided the Senators of the
Republican Party, individually and collectively, with
outstanding support and assistance;
Whereas, Those serving so ably during this session include: Jeremy Bellotti, Luke Bielawski, Alyssa Bolt, Joshua Bowling, Stewart Burns, Casey Carroll, John Chi, Douglas Crane, Andrew Dickerson, Elizabeth Dunklau, Samantha Edwards, Rachel Elsts, Brianna Engel, Frank Freeman, Salome Gasabile, Cora Griffin, Ian Hauer, Chris Kashman, Shane Kennedy, Jonathan Kwortek, Meghan Luke, Patrick Mautner, Courtney Merz, Tyler Miles, Sarah Milligan, Stephanie Morris, Sarah Owens, Andrew Perrott, Krista Rivera, Matthew Robinson, Jordan Rose, Jordan Simonton, Shane Springer, Amy Surber, Justin Swanson, Kristen Tjaden, Nicole Vauter, Mark Wasky, J. Daniel Workman, and Khadija Zaman;
Whereas, The Senate Republican Interns represent 16 universities throughout Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio: Ball State University, Butler University, DePauw University, Indiana University, Indiana University - Indianapolis School of Law, Indiana University - Purdue University - Fort Wayne, Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis, Indiana University South Bend, Ivy Tech, Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Manchester College, Michigan State School of Law, Purdue University, Taylor University, Valparaiso University School of Law, and Xavier University; and
Whereas, The support and assistance of the Interns have
contributed to the Senate being more efficient and responsive
to the people of this great State: Therefore,
SECTION 1. The Indiana Senate hereby expresses its full
appreciation and sincere commendation to the Senate Republican
Interns who have loyally and capably served this First Regular Session
of the One Hundred Seventeenth Indiana General Assembly.
SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to
transmit a copy of this Resolution to each Republican Intern who
served the Senate during the First Regular Session of the One Hundred
Seventeenth Indiana General Assembly.
