SENATE RESOLUTION


     MADAM PRESIDENT:

    I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:

    A SENATE RESOLUTION congratulating Senator Richard Bray and his wife Maureen on their 50th wedding anniversary.

     Whereas, Senator Richard Bray married his wife Maureen on April 15, 1961 at First Christian Church in Martinsville, Indiana;

    Whereas, Senator Bray and Maureen both graduated from the same class in Martinsville High School in 1953. They also both attended Indiana University;

    Whereas, Senator Bray and Maureen love to travel all over the world. They have been to destinations on four continents;

    Whereas, Senator Bray and Maureen also love to camp and hike. They particularly enjoy the Rocky Mountains, where they camp and hike almost every year;

    Whereas, April 15, 2011 marks the 50th anniversary of their wedding, an inspirational occasion;


    Whereas, Senator Bray and Maureen's family includes: their daughter, Betsey Gast-Bray and spouse Andrew; son Eric; and son Rodric and spouse Kelly. They are also the proud grandparents of four grandsons; Beren, Rowan, Austin, and Ethan; and

    Whereas, Senator Bray's 50th wedding anniversary is a tremendous occasion befitting of celebration: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:


    SECTION 1. The Indiana Senate congratulates Senator Richard Bray and his wife Maureen on their 50th wedding anniversary.
    SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Senator Richard Bray; his wife, Maureen; and their children, Betsey Gast-Bray, Eric Bray, and Rodric Bray.
