SENATE RESOLUTION

     MADAM PRESIDENT:

    I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:

    A SENATE RESOLUTION congratulating Taylor Wornica for being awarded the first team Academic All-State Award by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association;

    Whereas, Taylor Wornica is a member of the Pike Central High School swim team, a cheerleader, and a manager for the baseball team;

    Whereas, Taylor Wornica serves as vice president of the Pike Central High School Student Government, is a member of Business Professionals of America, and works as an office assistant at an eye care clinic;

    Whereas, Taylor Wornica also is involved in community service projects, volunteering with the Salvation Army during the holiday season and helping with food drives; and

    Whereas, Even with all of these extracurricular activities, Taylor Wornica maintains a perfect grade-point average and was inducted into the National Honor Society: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. The Indiana State Senate congratulates Taylor Wornica for being awarded the first team Academic All-State Award by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association.
    SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this resolution to Taylor Wornica.
