A SENATE RESOLUTION congratulating F. Howard
Halderman for receiving the Distinguished Agriculture Alumni
Award from Purdue University College of Agriculture.

MADAM PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
A SENATE RESOLUTION congratulating F. Howard
Halderman for receiving the Distinguished Agriculture Alumni
Award from Purdue University College of Agriculture.
Whereas, F. Howard Halderman was the honored recipient
of one of the top honors presented annually by the Purdue
College of Agriculture. This award is presented each year to
honor mid-career Purdue agriculture graduates who have
made significant contributions to their profession or society in
general, and who have an outstanding record of
accomplishments;
Whereas, Halderman, a 1988 Purdue University
agricultural graduate, boasts an impressive career in the field
of agriculture. Upon graduating, he was awarded the G.A.
Ross Award as the top male graduate of the university. He is
now a real estate broker and accredited farm manager;
Whereas, He grew up on a family farm and worked as a
summer intern with Halderman Farm Management Service,
Inc. while he attended college at Purdue University.
Halderman has now risen to acting president of the company;
Whereas, Halderman Farm Management Service Inc. is a third-generation, Indiana-based farm management and real estate organization that provides management services to more than 650 farms, with a market value in excess of $1 billion in the United States, Canada, and South America; and
Whereas, The list of accolades attributed to F. Howard
Halderman include: acting as treasurer of the Kiwanis Club,
serving on the Wabash Community Service Board, and serving
as a committee member for the American Society of Farm
Managers and Rural Appraisers. He also formerly served as
a member of the American Cyanamid Farm Management
Advisory Board (1992-98), president of the Kiwanis Club,
president of the Indiana Society of Farm Managers, and a
member of the Wabash County Hospital Board and Foundation
Board: Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate congratulates F. Howard Halderman on his receipt of the Distinguished Agriculture Alumni Award from Purdue University College of Agriculture.
SECTION 2. That the Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to F. Howard Halderman.
