SENATE RESOLUTION


     MADAM PRESIDENT:

    I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:

    A SENATE RESOLUTION commending Sarah Williams for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award.

    Whereas, The Girl Scout Gold Award, the highest achievement awarded in Girl Scouting, is presented to high school students who distinguish themselves as leaders by taking the initiative to make a difference in their communities;

    Whereas, Sarah earned her Gold Award by identifying Autism Awareness as an issue she is passionate about and completing a project on Outings for Families Affected by Autism, in which she helped host community events suited for children with Autism;

    Whereas, Sarah has also worked with the organization Inspiring Autism Spectrum Families to help educate others on Autism Awareness; and

    Whereas, By completing her Gold Award, Sarah has demonstrated a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication: Therefore,


Be it resolved by the Senate of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. The Indiana Senate recognizes and congratulates Sarah Williams for earning the Girl Scout Gold Award.
    SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Sarah Williams.
