I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
A SENATE RESOLUTION
extending gratitude to Helena
Chemical for choosing to develop their terminal in Huntington County.
Whereas, Helena Chemical is anticipating the grand
opening of their $21.5 million terminal in Huntington, Indiana
in the spring of 2012;
Whereas, Helena Chemical is a division of Marubeni
Corporation, based in Tokyo. Their Huntington terminal
includes a new rail yard on the main Norfolk Southern line,
making it the first new rail yard in Huntington County in 35
years;
Whereas, The company will provide fertilizer products for
the 96-acre lot to support Helena's retail and wholesale
accounts, and be a preferred link to the supply chain growers;
and
Whereas, The Huntington terminal allows Helena Chemical
to grow and sustain growth as a company. The plant will
provide gainful employment and an opportunity for Huntington
