Memorial Hospital Medflight Service .

MADAM PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
A SENATE RESOLUTION honoring the fifth anniversary
of the Memorial Hospital Medflight Service .
Whereas, Memorial Medflight, a service of Memorial
Hospital of South Bend, has provided helicopter air medical
transport services to the Michiana community since January
2006, operating from its base at South Bend Regional Airport;
Whereas, Memorial
Medflight
provides highly skilled flight
nurse and paramedic teams to care for adult and pediatric
patients who are critically ill or injured;
Whereas, Memorial
Medflight
responds twenty-four hours
a day, seven days a week at the speed of safety as a transport
service for any hospital and any scene provider; and has
touched the lives of many in responding to a wide range of
emergencies;
Whereas, Memorial
Medflight
participates in a variety of
trauma, safety and injury prevention activities with over five
thousand attending, and operates with its focus on safety and
patient care;
Whereas, Medflight is the region's only flight program that is one hundred percent Night Vision Goggle equipped to enhance safety during night-time flight operations; and
Whereas,
Medflight
is committed to excellent patient care
and safe flight operations.
SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly wishes to congratulate Memorial Hospital Medflight Service on the fifth anniversary of its operation and hopes for its continued success.
SECTION 2. That copies of this resolution be transmitted by the Secretary of the Senate to Memorial Hospital Medflight Service and the City of South Bend.
