    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION recognizing McDonald's National Hiring Day, April 19, 2011.

    Whereas, McDonald's and its 91 Indiana owners/operators are significant contributors to the Indiana economy;

    Whereas, In 2010, McDonald's and its owners/operators spent over $143 million in their Indiana communities, and return more than 52 cents of every dollar earned to the local economy;

    Whereas, Approximately 40 percent of McDonald's worldwide top management and nearly 50 percent of McDonald's owners/operators in the United States started their careers with McDonald's as members of the crew;

    Whereas, McDonald's has its regional office in the state of Indiana; and

    Whereas, April 19, 2011 is McDonald's National Hiring Day. On that day, McDonald's anticipates hiring an additional 1,300 employees in the state of Indiana, and over 50,000 employees across the country: Therefore,

    


Be it resolved by the Senate     of the General Assembly

of the State of Indiana, the House of Representatives     concurring:


    SECTION 1. The Indiana General Assembly recognizes McDonald's National Hiring Day, April 19, 2011.
    SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Amanda Conochalla, Director of Government Relations, McDonald's Central Division.
