SENATE CONCURRENT
RESOLUTION



        A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION urging the Legislative Council to establish an interim study committee to study the necessity of informing governmental bodies about proposed state highway projects that require the highway to be closed at least five consecutive days.

    Whereas, State highways are the lifelines of our communities; and

    Whereas, Closing these important roadways for an extended time may cause hardship on the businesses and residents of the area: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the Senate of the General Assembly

of the State of Indiana, the House of Representatives concurring:


    SECTION 1. That the legislative council is urged to establish an interim study committee to study the necessity of informing governmental bodies about proposed state highway projects that require the highway to be closed at least five consecutive days.
    SECTION 2. That the committee, if established, shall operate under the direction of the legislative council, and that the committee shall issue a final report when directed to do so by the council.
