    A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION congratulating Orville and Jessica Haney for being named recipients of the Farm Bureau's Young Farmer Achievement Award.

    Whereas, The Indiana Farm Bureau's Young Farmer Achievement Award recognizes young farmers whose farm management techniques and commitment to their communities set a positive example for the entire production agriculture community;

    Whereas, Orville and Jessica Haney of Kosciusko County have been named winners of the Young Farmer Achievement Award;

    Whereas, The Haneys are the sixth of their generation to raise children and milk cows on their family farm. With the help of Orville's father and brother and their families, the farm milks 185 dairy cows and produces corn, hay, wheat, beans, and oats;

    Whereas, Orville and Jessica Haney are a successful Hoosier farm family. The couple has three children: Keith, Claire, and Levi. Jessica works off-farm as a nurse in addition to supporting the family farm;

    Whereas, They will represent Indiana in the American Farm Bureau Young Farmers and Ranchers Achievement

Award competition in Nashville, Tennessee; and

    Whereas, The Haneys exemplify young farmer achievement. We congratulate them on their award and wish them continued success: Therefore,

    Be it resolved by the Senate     of the General Assembly

of the State of Indiana, the House of Representatives     concurring:

     SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly hereby congratulates Orville and Jessica Haney for winning the Indiana Farm Bureau's Young Farmer Achievement Award.
    SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Orville and Jessica Haney.
