Synopsis: State employee caseworkers at township offices. Requires
the division of family resources to locate a state employee caseworker
at each township office and provide specified equipment for the
caseworker to assist township residents with applying for public
assistance programs. Requires the township trustee to provide
necessary office space for the caseworker.

A BILL FOR AN ACT to amend the Indiana Code concerning
human services.
(1) The federal Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program (SNAP).
(2) The Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program.
(3) The Medicaid program.
(b) The division shall provide a caseworker located in a township office with a telephone, computer, and access to a copier or facsimile (fax) machine for the administration of eligibility determination documents.
(c) A township trustee shall provide the necessary office space
for a caseworker assigned to work at the township office as
required by IC 12-20-3-1.5.
