Synopsis: Murder sentencing and sentence enhancements. Urges the
legislative council to assign to the sentencing policy study committee
the topic of the appropriate penalty for: (1) murder committed in the
presence of a child; and (2) violent crimes committed in the presence
of a child or against a person who had a protection order against the
perpetrator.
Effective: Upon passage.
