    A HOUSE RESOLUTION urging the Legislative Council to assign to an appropriate study committee the topic of the operation of riding lawn mowers by young children.
    
    Whereas, It is responsibility of the General Assembly to ensure that Hoosier children are protected from being put in unnecessary danger of injury or death by the adults to whose care they have been committed: Therefore,

Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the

General Assembly of the State of Indiana:

    SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives urges the Legislative Council to assign to an appropriate study committee for interim study the topic of the operation of riding lawn mowers by children younger than 12, particularly whether allowing children younger than 12 to ride on a riding mower alone or with an adult in control of the machine should constitute a criminal infraction, as proposed by House Bill 1092 (2012).
