A HOUSE RESOLUTION honoring Representative
David Yarde.
Whereas, Representative David Yarde, who was first
elected to represent the citizens of House District 52 in 2008,
will be leaving the House chamber for the last time at the end
of the 2012 legislative session;
Whereas, During his time in the House of Representatives,
Representative Yarde has served on the Small Business and
Economic Development Committee, the Utilities and Energy
Committee, the Roads and Transportation Committee, the
Elections and Apportionment Committee, and the Family,
Children and Human Affairs Committee;
Whereas, Before being elected to the House of
Representatives, Representative Yarde served 14 years on the
DeKalb County Council and was a member of the Greater
Garrett Plan Commission, Board of Zoning Appeals, and
Keyser Township Advisory Board;
Whereas, Representative Yarde is active in his community
and is involved with numerous organizations, including the
Scottish Rite, Shriners of North America, Indiana Farm
Bureau, and the National Rifle Association;
Whereas, Representative Yarde has a Bachelor of Science
degree and a Master of Science degree from Indiana University
- Bloomington;
Whereas, Representative Yarde is a 5th grade teacher at
Northcrest Elementary School in the Fort Wayne Community
Schools and has more than 17 years of experience in school
administration;
Whereas, The fifth generation to live on the family farm,
Representative Yarde enjoys antique automobiles, hunting, and
fishing in his spare time; and
Whereas, Representative David Yarde has served his
constituency loyally and faithfully since his election to the
Indiana General Assembly: Therefore,
Representatives transmit copies of this resolution to Representative David Yarde and his family.
