A HOUSE RESOLUTION to recognize and honor the work
of Micah Staub with needy dogs and other animals.
Whereas, Micah Staub is a twelve-year-old sixth grader of
Fort Wayne; and,
Whereas, as the son of a veterinarian, at a young age
Micah was made to feel comfortable around animals of all
kinds, helping his family care for needy animals the family took
in, which included horses rescued from slaughter, dogs and
roosters rescued from illegal fighting operations, as well as
countless dogs rescued from puppy mills; and,
Whereas, Micah has dedicated much of his young life to caring especially for those dogs rescued from puppy mills, with whom he feels a special connection, whose suffering he feels acutely, and whose happiness and comfort are to him the best reward for his work; and,
Whereas, Micah's kindness and commitment has already
been recognized and profiled in several of its publications by
the Humane Society of the United States: Therefore,
SECTION 1. That the Indiana House of Representatives officially
recognizes the work of Micah Staub in caring for the abandoned and
needy animals of Indiana, thanks him for his commitment and
dedication to his neighbors and his community, and congratulates him
on his success in helping those who can least help themselves.
SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House transmit a copy
of this resolution to Micah Staub, and the Humane Society of the
United States.
