Summary

Medical use of hemp extract and compassionate use registry. Requires the state seed commissioner to apply to the federal government to select an area in Indiana in which to grow hemp for the production of medical hemp oil. Allows the possession of hemp extract for the treatment of specified medical conditions if referred by a treating physician. Establishes the compassionate use registry for the registration of physicians, patients, and caregivers for the possession of hemp extract for medical treatment and sets forth requirements. Provides immunity to physicians who recommend hemp extract treatment for patients. Provides for exemption from criminal penalties
