| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of David Leonard Olson of Elkhart, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on November 26, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, David Olson was born in Lincoln to Alfred and | ||||||
6 | Mildred (Amberg) Olson on December 2, 1939; he graduated from | ||||||
7 | Elkhart High School in 1958 and married Lois Carolyn Sapp on | ||||||
8 | July 7, 1958; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, David Olson was a lifelong grain and livestock | ||||||
10 | farmer with his family in Broadwell and Elkhart; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, David Olson had a large and loving family and | ||||||
12 | devoted his life to his children, grandchildren, and | ||||||
13 | great-grandchildren; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, David Olson was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
15 | and his brother, Robert F. Olson; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, David Olson is survived by his wife, Lois; his | ||||||
17 | children, John (Ann) Olson, Dana (Curt) Hudson, Elizabeth | ||||||
18 | (Mike) Anderson, Joe (Angela) Olson, William (Emily) Olson, and | ||||||
19 | Richard (Jason) Olson; 21 grandchildren; 22 | ||||||
20 | great-grandchildren; and his sister, Mary Ann Garrison; |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | David Leonard Olson and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
6 | further

7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of David Olson as an expression of our | ||||||
9 | deepest sympathy.
