2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Wilbert Hulett of Moline, who passed away | ||||||
4 | on November 25, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Wilbert Hulett was born in Rock Island to Frank | ||||||
6 | and Velma Stambaugh Hulett on June 11, 1934; when he was a year | ||||||
7 | old, his parents started attending Moline Gospel Temple, and he | ||||||
8 | committed to his faith at an early age; he was always willing | ||||||
9 | to help at the church, and he served as a board member, Sunday | ||||||
10 | school superintendent of the ninth grade department, vacation | ||||||
11 | bible school bus driver, and deacon; he married Judy Weston at | ||||||
12 | the Moline Gospel Temple on September 15, 1961; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Wilbert Hulett served in the Naval Reserves as a | ||||||
14 | gunner's mate on the USS Hornet for four years; he was an | ||||||
15 | electrical supervisor at John Deere Harvester for 25 years and | ||||||
16 | retired in 1986; for 25 more years, he worked in guest | ||||||
17 | services, doing out-of-town shows and working the John Deere | ||||||
18 | Classic; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Wilbert Hulett was an avid cyclist and enjoyed | ||||||
20 | golfing; he valued his family; and
| ||||||
21 | WHEREAS, Wilbert Hulett was preceded in death by his |

1 | parents; his brother, Frank Jr.; his sister-in-law, Gwen; and | ||||||
2 | his brother-in-law, Les Forsberg; and
| ||||||
3 | WHEREAS, Wilbert Hulett is survived by his wife of 57 | ||||||
4 | years, Judy; his daughter, Lori (Jeff) Perkins; his son, Steve | ||||||
5 | (Trish) Hulett; his grandchildren, Lindsey, Conner, Jaden, | ||||||
6 | Hunter, Joshua, Keaira, and Traven; and his sisters, Barbara | ||||||
7 | Forsberg and Patricia (Gordon) Schwabe; therefore, be it
| ||||||
8 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
9 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
10 | Wilbert Hulett and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
11 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
12 | further

13 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
14 | presented to the family of Wilbert Hulett as an expression of | ||||||
15 | our deepest sympathy.
