2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Robert O. Grubaugh of Moline, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on November 8, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh was born in Aurora to Oscar and | ||||||
6 | Amy Grubaugh on April 14, 1926; at the age of 17, he enlisted | ||||||
7 | in the United States Navy and served during World War II; upon | ||||||
8 | his return, he finished high school and then enrolled in a | ||||||
9 | Christian college in Texas, where he was valedictorian of his | ||||||
10 | graduating class; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh worked in public relations and | ||||||
12 | marketing at Iowa Illinois Gas and Electric Co., Davenport; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh was a member of the American | ||||||
14 | Legion Post 246, Moline; he also supported the ASPCA and | ||||||
15 | Shriners Hospitals for Children; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh was preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | parents; his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Jill Grubaugh; | ||||||
18 | and his sister, Shirley Mitchell; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Robert Grubaugh is survived by his sons, Robert | ||||||
20 | (Marina) Fatchett and Jeffery Grubaugh; his granddaughters, |

1 | Breanne, Danielle, Jessica, Kirsten, Lauren, and Nikki; his | ||||||
2 | grandson, Cole; his five great-grandchildren; and his special | ||||||
3 | friend, Marilyn Buntenbach; therefore, be it

4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | Robert O. Grubaugh and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
8 | further

9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
10 | presented to the family of Robert Grubaugh as an expression of | ||||||
