1		SENATE RESOLUTION
2		WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3		learn of the death of Rabbi Sam Fraint, who passed away on
4		October 6, 2018; and
5		WHEREAS, Rabbi Fraint was the longtime spiritual leader and
6		rabbi emeritus of Moriah Congregation in Deerfield; and
7		WHEREAS, During Rabbi Fraint's 30-year tenure, the
8		congregation became a vibrant and prominent Chicago-area
9		Jewish institution; and
10		WHEREAS, Rabbi Fraint was an inspiring teacher of Torah and
11		a strong defender of Israel and the Jewish people; and
12		WHEREAS, Rabbi Fraint was the loving and devoted husband of
13		Deena (Segal); the adoring father of Hannah, Zeke (Laura), and
14		Avram (Jodi); the proud Zaydee of Sophia Ruth; the dear brother
15		of Eric (Kathy); the treasured brother-in-law of Eric (Karen)
16		Segal and Danny Segal (Susan Kitzen); the devoted uncle of
17		numerous nieces and nephews; the dear friend of many; and the
18		beloved and respected Rabbi of the Moriah Congregation;
19		therefore, be it
20		RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1		ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2		Rabbi Sam Fraint and extend our sincere condolences to his
3		family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
4		further
5		RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6		presented to the family of Rabbi Fraint as an expression of our
7		deepest sympathy.
