SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Naydean Fields, who passed away on August
31, 2018; and
WHEREAS, Naydean Fields was born in Little Rock, Arkansas
to Raymond and Merrol (Rockingham) Kneeland on April 10, 1933;
she was the fifth of eight children; and
WHEREAS, Naydean Fields was preceded in death by her
father, Raymond Kneeland; her mother, Merrol (Rockingham)
Pitts; her brothers, Shelley Kneeland Sr., Hornsby Kneeland,
George "G.L." Kneeland, Samuel Kneeland, and Earl "Pat" Pitts;
her daughter, Bridgette Howard; and her great-grandson, Justus
Howell; and
WHEREAS, Naydean Fields is survived by her husband, Willard
Fields; her daughter, Regina (Michael) Fields-Herring; her
sister, Dorothy Lundy; her brothers, Wilerma (Lola) and Odie
Kneeland; her sister-in-law, Rhonda (Ronnie) Huley; her
grandsons, Shikieth Howard, Ashley Howard, Darnell Fields, and
Mark Fields; five great-grandchildren; one
great-great-grandchild; close family friends, Paulette
McKinnis and Patti Jones; and a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Naydean Fields and extend our sincere condolences to her
family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Naydean Fields as an expression of
our deepest sympathy.
