SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Anthony "Tony" Pintozzi Sr. of McHenry,
4who passed away on August 6, 2018; and
5 WHEREAS, Tony Pintozzi was born to Charles and Maria
6(Meccia) Pintozzi on February 24, 1931; he attended St. Rita of
7Cascia High School and married Maureen Etten at St. Nicholas of
8Tolentine in Chicago on November 29, 1952; and
9 WHEREAS, Tony Pintozzi was the founder of Pintz & Co.,
10which later became International Decorators, Inc.; and
11 WHEREAS, Tony Pintozzi was chairman of the Northern
12Illinois Medical Board, president of the Painting & Decorating
13Contractors Association of Northern Illinois, co-founder of
14the Northern Illinois Painting & Drywall Institute, chairman of
15the Painters District Council 30 Pension Fund, secretary of the
16Painters District Council 30 Health & Welfare Fund, and
17co-founder of the Finishing Contractors Association of
18Illinois; he served on the St. Patrick/Montini Catholic School
19Commission and was a St. Patrick Church lector; he was a member
20of the McHenry County Regional School Board and the city of
21McHenry Police Commissioner; he was also involved with Kiwanis,
22a member of the McHenry Country Club, and coached little

1league; and
2 WHEREAS, Tony Pintozzi was dedicated to his Catholic faith
3and his family and was extremely proud of his Italian heritage;
4he enjoyed golf, spending time with his family at the cabin on
5Plum Lake in the Northwoods, and driving around town in his
6white car enjoying his pipe; and
7 WHEREAS, Tony Pintozzi was preceded in death by his
8parents; his in-laws, Joseph and Mary Etten; and his
9sister-in-law, Marcella (Wayne) Dixon; and
10 WHEREAS, Tony Pintozzi is survived by his wife of 65 years,
11Maureen; his children, Mary (Jon) Meyer, Debbie (Michael)
12Cajthaml, Donna (Buzz) Frett, Maureen (Mike) Pabst, Annette
13(Steve) Cuda, Cathy (Tom) Campbell, Patti (Bill) Preston, and
14Butch (Missy) Pintozzi; his grandchildren, Stephanie (Jovan)
15Strumberger, Bryan (Joy Anna) Meyer, Michael (Ashley)
16Cajthaml, Christopher Frett, Jaci (Matt) Hartman, Tom (Abbey)
17Pabst, Dan (Becky) Pabst, Elizabeth (Jake) Smith, Maria (Kevin)
18Hill, Katie Cuda, Jeff Campbell, Matt (Becca) Campbell,
19Christine Campbell, Sara (Pat) McDonald, Marguerite Preston,
20Joe (Erin) Pintozzi, Mary (Luke) Naidicz, and Olivia Pintozzi;
2116 great-grandchildren; his siblings, Anne Marie (George)
22Cina, Charles (Rose Marie) Pintozzi, and Nick (Connie)
23Pintozzi; and his brother-in-law, Joe (Jean) Etten; therefore,

2 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Anthony "Tony" Pintozzi Sr., and extend our sincere condolences
5to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
6it further
7 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Tony Pintozzi as an expression of
9our deepest sympathy.
