2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Eugene Albert "Teener" Philipp of | ||||||
4 | Woodstock, who passed away on July 10, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Eugene Philipp was born to Albin and Addie Philipp | ||||||
6 | on September 20, 1926; he served in the U.S. Army during World | ||||||
7 | War II and married Hazel Mae Lappin at Grace Lutheran Church in | ||||||
8 | Woodstock on August 9, 1963; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Eugene Philipp worked for the McHenry County Title | ||||||
10 | Company for 44 years before retiring in 1988; he was elected as | ||||||
11 | the city clerk of Woodstock in 1969; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Eugene Philipp was an avid sports fan and lifetime | ||||||
13 | Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks fan; he enjoyed reading, | ||||||
14 | crosswords, puzzles, bingo, video poker, slots, and horse | ||||||
15 | racing; he was a charter member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church | ||||||
16 | in Woodstock; and

17 | WHEREAS, Eugene Philipp was preceded in death by his wife, | ||||||
18 | Hazel; his parents; his brother, Donald; his in-laws, Leverett | ||||||
19 | and Lillian Lappin; and several other relatives and friends; | ||||||

1 | WHEREAS, Eugene Philipp is survived by his daughters, | ||||||
2 | Kristine (Martin) Victory and Kathleen Philipp; his | ||||||
3 | granddaughter, Savanna Victory (Robert Vicary); his | ||||||
4 | great-grandchildren, Leland, Julius, and William; his special | ||||||
5 | daughter, Kimberly "Kimski" Hoesel (Brent Bartell); and | ||||||
6 | several other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

7 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
8 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
9 | Eugene Albert "Teener" Philipp, and extend our sincere | ||||||
10 | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | ||||||
11 | him; and be it further
