SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Susan Marie Fehrenbacher of Carbondale,
4who passed away on June 12, 2018; and
5 WHEREAS, Susan Fehrenbacher was born in Decatur to Frank F.
6and Jeanette Fehrenbacher on November 10, 1955; she attended
7St. Raymond's School and St. Francis Academy in Joliet; she
8earned undergraduate and graduate degrees from Southern
9Illinois University Carbondale; and
10 WHEREAS, Susan Fehrenbacher owned a clothing store in
11Carbondale in the 1990s; she retired from the State of
12Illinois, where she worked as a rehabilitation instructor for
13the blind and visually impaired; and
14 WHEREAS, Susan Fehrenbacher was actively involved with the
15Dayemi Tariqat Suffi Community; she was a strong supporter of
16the Carbondale community, specifically The Arbor District
17Neighborhood; she enjoyed teaching yoga, working on the
18Dayempur Farm, walking with her guide dogs, bike riding, and
19traveling the world; and
20 WHEREAS, Susan Fehrenbacher was preceded in death by her
21parents; and

1 WHEREAS, Susan Fehrenbacher is survived by her siblings,
2Mark (Judy), Mary Jo (Jim), Frank Jr. (Linda), Ann (Steve),
3David (Sheri), George, and Christopher (Laura); her 13 nieces
4and nephews; her five great-nieces and nephews; and her many
5other family members and friends; therefore, be it
6 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Susan Marie Fehrenbacher and extend our sincere condolences to
9her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
10further
11 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Susan Fehrenbacher as an expression
13of our deepest sympathy.
