2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Terry R. Lewis of Moline, who passed away | ||||||
4 | on June 12, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Terry Lewis was born in Moline to Robert and Agnes | ||||||
6 | Mitton Lewis on August 2, 1942; he grew up in Silvis and Carbon | ||||||
7 | Cliff; he served in the National Guard and loved his country; | ||||||
8 | he married Janet Johnson in Moline on February 6, 1955; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Terry Lewis retired from John Deere Harvester | ||||||
10 | Works in East Moline, where he worked as a supervisor; he also | ||||||
11 | owned and operated a taxidermy business for several years; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Terry Lewis was a talented carpenter and handyman; | ||||||
13 | he built much of his own home and helped his son and family | ||||||
14 | members build their homes; he was a member of the Slide | ||||||
15 | Trombone Quartet and enjoyed playing at Deere Wyman events and | ||||||
16 | the Festival of Trees every year; he enjoyed watching movies, | ||||||
17 | especially those starring John Wayne and Clint Eastwood; he was | ||||||
18 | an avid lover of the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and | ||||||
19 | spending time with his family and friends, especially on | ||||||
20 | holidays; and

21 | WHEREAS, Terry Lewis was preceded in death by his parents; |

1 | his sister, Karen (Lewis) Willhouse; and his granddaughter, | ||||||
2 | Erica Mae Lewis; and

3 | WHEREAS, Terry Lewis is survived by his wife, Janet; his | ||||||
4 | children, Amy (Michael) Snell, Jamie (Lori) Lewis, Jason | ||||||
5 | (Amanda) Lewis, and Cynthia Lewis; his grandchildren, Alexia | ||||||
6 | Snell, Carlyn Snell, Justin Lewis, Erica Mae Lewis, Kylen | ||||||
7 | Lewis, Kyle Lewis, Kendra Lewis, Korbin Lewis, Jeremiah | ||||||
8 | Bresnahan, Aaron Bresnahan, Victoria Lewis, Tyler | ||||||

16 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
17 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
18 | Terry R. Lewis and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
19 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
20 | further

21 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
22 | presented to the family of Terry Lewis as an expression of our | ||||||
