SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Micheal Ray Pugh of Milan, who passed
4away on June 17, 2018; and
5 WHEREAS, Micheal Pugh was born in Xenia, Ohio to Ronald and
6Patricia (Fourman) Pugh on January 5, 1958; he graduated from
7Milton-Union High School in West Milton, Ohio in 1976; he
8married Janet L. Voss-Bellman in Davenport, Iowa on March 26,
91995; and
10 WHEREAS, Micheal Pugh was a 20-year veteran of the U.S.
11Army; he had tours of duty overseas in Germany, the
12Netherlands, and Turkey, and even played softball on a NATO
13team; he retired from active duty in 1996 and worked as a
14federal civilian employee until retiring in 2014 from the
15Headquarters, U.S. Army Sustainment Command, Financial
16Operations Directorate at Rock Island Arsenal; and
17 WHEREAS, Micheal Pugh enjoyed watching sports, especially
18the Ohio teams - the Cincinnati Bengals, Cincinnati Reds,
19Dayton Flyers, and Ohio State; he loved his family, the
20companionship of his cat, Kitty, and dog, Mya, taking walks
21outdoors, and listening to music; and

1 WHEREAS, Micheal Pugh was preceded in death by his father;
2and
3 WHEREAS, Micheal Pugh is survived by his wife, Janet; his
4sisters, Rhonda Amonds and Vicki Quillan; his niece, Michelle
5Amonds; his son, Nolan Pugh; his daughters, Shanda (Jesse)
6Wright and Nikki (Jason) Tinnerman; and his grandchildren,
7Jesse Jr. and Kamryn Wright, Brady, Carter, Dawson, and Ethan
8Tinnerman, Mason Pugh, Brandon Baze, and Alex and Shelby
9Charlet; therefore, be it
10 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Micheal Ray Pugh, and extend our sincere condolences to his
13family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
15 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Micheal Pugh as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
