SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of David A. "Dave" Suter of Lombard, who
4passed away on January 18, 2015; and
5 WHEREAS, Dave Suter was born in Dubuque, Iowa to Frederick
6and Lucille Suter on August 23, 1951; his family eventually
7settled in Elmhurst, and he graduated from Addison Trail High
8School; he served in the U.S. Army from 1971 to 1974 and was
9awarded the National Defense Service Medal and a Certificate
10for Achievement Specialist; and
11 WHEREAS, Dave Suter was a carpenter by trade and worked on
12many of the buildings in the Chicago area; and
13 WHEREAS, Dave Suter enjoyed working with his hands,
14gardening, grilling, fishing, and home improvement projects;
15and
16 WHEREAS, Dave Suter was preceded in death by his parents
17and his stepgranddaughter, Lucy Klein; and
18 WHEREAS, Dave Suter is survived by his wife, Carmel; his
19daughter, Jen Suter; his stepchildren, Rob (Brittany) Klein,
20Carrie (Jo) Marczuk, Kris Klein, and Sara and Jude Demuro; his

1grandson, Jackson Suter; his stepgrandchildren, Damien and
2Jack Marczuk, and George Klein; his brother, John (Barb) Suter;
3his sister, Kathy (Pete) Johnson; his nieces and nephews,
4Tiffany (Joe) Smoczyk, Rachel, Shelby, William, and David
5Johnson, Melinda (Brian) Yarbrough, and Jack Suter; and his
6great-niece and nephew, Juliette Yarbrough and Frederick
7Smoczyk; therefore, be it
8 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10David A. "Dave" Suter, and extend our sincere condolences to
11his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
12further
13 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Dave Suter as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
