| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Charles R. Titus Sr. of Moline, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on May 26, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Charles Titus Sr. was born in Moline to D. Raymond | ||||||
6 | and Helen Burke Titus on August 25, 1930; he served in the | ||||||
7 | United States Army and was a Korean War veteran; he married | ||||||
8 | Donna Mortensen on February 4, 1961; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Charles Titus Sr. was self-employed and retired | ||||||
10 | from U-Haul after 32 years; he also worked alongside his wife | ||||||
11 | at Apple Valley Boarding Kennel, where he was often referred to | ||||||
12 | as "Grandpa"; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Charles Titus Sr. enjoyed socializing as a | ||||||
14 | business associate and was a workaholic; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Charles Titus Sr. was preceded in death by his | ||||||
16 | parents and his brother, Ron; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Charles Titus Sr. is survived by his wife, Donna; | ||||||
18 | his children, Debbie Eastwood, Judith Titus, and Charles Titus | ||||||
19 | Jr.; his grandchildren, Megan Eastwood, Andrew Eastwood, and | ||||||
20 | Mike Sides; and his adopted grandchildren, Kelsey and Claire |

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | Charles R. Titus Sr. and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
6 | further
| ||||||
7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
8 | presented to the family of Charles Titus Sr. as an expression | ||||||
9 | of our deepest sympathy.
