2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Milton L. Messick of Marengo, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on May 17, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Milton Messick was born in Topeka, Kansas to | ||||||
6 | Clarence and Tressa (Melton) Messick on October 25, 1933; he | ||||||
7 | served in the United States Army during the Korean War and | ||||||
8 | married Joyce Thurman in St. Louis on June 11, 1966; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Milton Messick retired from Motorola after 34 | ||||||
10 | years of service; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Milton Messick was a member of the
Masonic Grand | ||||||
12 | Lodge of Kansas AF & AM and the Scottish Rite; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Milton Messick was preceded in death by his | ||||||
14 | parents and his brother, Clarence Messick Jr.; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Milton Messick is survived by his wife of 51 | ||||||
16 | years, Joyce; his children, Julie (David) Camel and Steven | ||||||
17 | Messick; and his grandchildren, Grace and Olivia Camel and Cody | ||||||
18 | and Tyler Messick; therefore, be it

19 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL |

1 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
2 | Milton L. Messick, and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
3 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||

5 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
