2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Frances B. Petric of Mequon, Wisconsin, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on April 17, 2016; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Frances Petric was born in Waukegan to Frank and | ||||||
6 | Jennie (Jeray) Musich on February 12, 1917; and
| ||||||
7 | WHEREAS, Frances Petric was a homemaker and an avid baker, | ||||||
8 | often baking potica and cookies for family, friends, and church | ||||||
9 | functions; she was a kind and cheerful mother and grandmother | ||||||
10 | who always put her children's interests ahead of her own; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Frances Petric was a member of St. Mary of the | ||||||
12 | Annunciation Church in Mundelein and a longtime member of the | ||||||
13 | former Mother of God Church in Waukegan; she was active in both | ||||||
14 | churches and was a member of St. Anne's Lodge in Waukegan; and

15 | WHEREAS, Frances Petric was preceded in death by her | ||||||
16 | parents; her loving husband of 58 years, Frank; her two | ||||||
17 | sisters, Jeanne and Amelia; and her brothers, Frank, Albert, | ||||||
18 | and William; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, Frances Petric is survived by her sons, Jim | ||||||
20 | (Karen) and Gary (Debbie); her daughter, Janet (Jim) Spoerke; |

1 | her six grandchildren, Steven (Mary Kathryn), Sara (Dan), Nick, | ||||||
2 | Katrina, Lauren, and Dan; her great-grandchild, Jonathan; and | ||||||
3 | her brother, Joseph (Virginia) Musick; therefore, be it
| ||||||
4 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | ||||||
5 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
6 | Frances B. Petric, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
7 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
8 | further

9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
10 | presented to the family of Frances Petric as an expression of | ||||||
11 | our deepest sympathy.
