2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Annie S. Holsten of Crystal Lake, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on May 6, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Annie Holsten was born in McHenry to Nikolaus and | ||||||
6 | Anna (Klintworth) Tietjen on July 1, 1929; she graduated from | ||||||
7 | Crystal Lake Community High School and married John Holsten on | ||||||
8 | October 23, 1948; and
| ||||||
9 | WHEREAS, Annie Holsten worked for many years as a | ||||||
10 | bookkeeper for the Bauer Oil Company in Crystal Lake; she also | ||||||
11 | kept books for her husband's service station and automotive | ||||||
12 | businesses; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Annie Holsten had a passion for gardening and | ||||||
14 | always enjoyed working in her yard; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, Annie Holsten was preceded in death by her | ||||||
16 | husband, John, and her infant daughter, Carol; and
| ||||||
17 | WHEREAS, Annie Holsten is survived by her daughter, Shirley | ||||||
18 | (Don) Freese; her son, Jim (JoAnn) Holsten; her grandchildren, | ||||||
19 | Rebecca (Larry) Nakamura, Rachel (Mike) Nicholson, Jessica | ||||||
20 | (Derek) Loverich, and Leah and Tori Holsten; and her |

1 | great-grandchildren, Calista and Dryden Nicholson and Matthew | ||||||
2 | and Natalie Loverich; therefore, be it

3 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
4 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
5 | Annie S. Holsten, and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
6 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
7 | further

8 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
