SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Louis G. "Lou" Fiorelli; and
4 WHEREAS, Lou Fiorelli was born in the Bronx, New York on
5November 11, 1931; he graduated from Pearl River High School in
6Pearl River, New York in 1949; he served as a corporal in the
7United States Army at West Point from 1949 to 1952; he married
8Patricia Holland in 1954 and moved to Lake County in 1959; and
9 WHEREAS, Lou Fiorelli was a State Farm agent from 1961 to
102001; he was a member of the State Farm Lifetime President's
11Club; and
12 WHEREAS, Lou Fiorelli was the developer and owner of the
13Ponderosa in 1967 and the developer and owner of the Maple Tree
14Mall from 1970-1995; and
15 WHEREAS, Lou Fiorelli was a member of the Knights of
16Columbus, the Mundelein Jaycees, and the Mundelein
17Beautification Committee; he was president of the Mundelein
18High School Board of Education from 1967 to 1968; and
19 WHEREAS, Lou Fiorelli is survived by his wife, Patricia;
20his children, Joel (Edwina) Fiorelli, Paul (Connie) Fiorelli,

1Maria "Jill" Diaz, Louis "Neal" (Maria) Fiorelli, and Pattie
2(Dan) Rothstein; his brother, Ronald (Rita) Fiorelli; his
3grandchildren, Katherine (Eric) Midday, Christopher (Michele)
4Wells, Dirk (Alexandra) Wells, Dina (Rudy) Navarro, Anthony
5(Kyle) Fiorelli, Evan (Kristy) Fiorelli, Justin (Diana Ursea)
6Fiorelli, Julia (Sam) Williams, Lauren Rothstein, and Luke
7Rothstein; his great-grandchildren, Nola, Quinn, Penny, Ella,
8Vitale, Sebastian, and Theodore; and his former
9daughter-in-law, Cheryl Ahrens Fiorelli; therefore, be it
10 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
12Louis G. "Lou" Fiorelli, and extend our sincere condolences to
13his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
14further
15 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Lou Fiorelli as an expression of our
17deepest sympathy.
