SENATE RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
learn of the death of Ann V. Furto, who passed away on March
24, 2016; and
WHEREAS, Ann Furto was born in Mancelona, Michigan to
Joseph and Mary Hanis on May 2, 1922; and
WHEREAS, Ann Furto loved to bowl and was an avid gardener;
she also loved to cook for her family; and
WHEREAS, Ann Furto was preceded in death by her dearly
loved parents; her siblings, Joe, Marie, Mike, John, Bill,
Betty Wells, Rose, Jack, Marge Kaufmann, Paul, and Ed; her
grandson, Jason Pucel; and her sister-in-law, Shirley; and
WHEREAS, Ann Furto is survived by her beloved husband of 63
years, Frank Furto; her loving daughters, Kathleen "Kathy"
(Dick) Pucel, Susanne (Tim) Brody, Marilyn (Paul Jr.) Rak, and
Francine Blackburn; her nine cherished grandchildren, Shane
(Edna) Pucel, Aaron Pucel, Mira Brody, Ian Brody, Tiffany
(Drew) Mucci-Heitman, Gwen Rak, Syndey Rak, Dan Blackburn, and
Rachel (Joey) Carlson; her cherished great-granddaughter,
Sadie Carlson; her loving sister, Helen (Felix) Pasteris; her
brother, Steve; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins;

therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
Ann V. Furto, and extend our sincere condolences to her family,
friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
presented to the family of Ann Furto as an expression of our
deepest sympathy.
