2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Alvin J. "Al" Traeder of Harvard, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on April 19, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Al Traeder was born in North Lake, Wisconsin to | ||||||
6 | Frank and Sarah (Gulbronsen) Traeder on November 10, 1931; he | ||||||
7 | served in the United States Army and married Mary Alice | ||||||
8 | Pangburn at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Harvard on July 30, | ||||||
9 | 1960; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Al Traeder worked for Admiral for 30 years, | ||||||
11 | Starline for 1 year, Textron for 15 years, and Napa Motor | ||||||
12 | Service; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Al Traeder was a member of St. Joseph Catholic | ||||||
14 | Church, where he participated in the guitar and funeral choir; | ||||||
15 | he was a Boy Scout leader and played guitar at the Harvard Care | ||||||
16 | Center; he also served as a 4th Degree Knight with the Knights | ||||||
17 | of Columbus; and

18 | WHEREAS, Al Traeder was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
19 | and his siblings, James Traeder, Carol Jensen, and Gladys | ||||||
20 | Redlin; and

1 | WHEREAS, Al Traeder is survived by his wife, Mary Alice; | ||||||
2 | his children, Daniel (Sue) Traeder and Christine (David) May; | ||||||
3 | his grandchildren, Sophia, Trevor, Ryan, Elizabeth, Katherine, | ||||||
4 | Freya, and Alexis; several nieces; and one nephew; therefore, | ||||||
5 | be it

6 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
7 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
8 | Alvin J. "Al" Traeder and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
9 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
10 | further
| ||||||
11 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
12 | presented to the family of Al Traeder as an expression of our | ||||||
13 | deepest sympathy.
