| ||||||
2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Robert A. Osborne of East Moline, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on April 17, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Robert Osborne was born in Moline to Samuel and | ||||||
6 | Louise (Gamble) Osborne on November 7, 1943; he proudly served | ||||||
7 | in the United States Air Force for four years during the | ||||||
8 | Vietnam era; he earned a bachelor's degree from Augustana | ||||||
9 | College, where he also pursued graduate studies; he married | ||||||
10 | Donna Reed in Rock Island on January 9, 1982; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Robert Osborne worked at Deere & Co. for 36 years | ||||||
12 | and retired in 2001; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Robert Osborne loved to play golf and participated | ||||||
14 | in several competitive local teams and leagues; he worked as a | ||||||
15 | committee chair and volunteer with the John Deere Classic for | ||||||
16 | over 20 years; he enjoyed watching his grandson play sports, | ||||||
17 | especially golf; he was his pride and joy; and

18 | WHEREAS, Robert Osborne was preceded in death by his | ||||||
19 | parents; his brother, Carl Osborne; his daughter, Nicole | ||||||
20 | Osborne; and his in-laws, Vera and William Reed; and

1 | WHEREAS, Robert Osborne is survived by his wife, Donna; his | ||||||
2 | daughter, Amber (Matt) Rumler; his son, Michael Osborne; his | ||||||
3 | grandson, Isaac Rumler; and his brother, Gary (Jackie) Osborne; | ||||||
4 | therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Robert A. Osborne and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
8 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
9 | further

10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
