2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Euin "Sam" Sandusky of Coal Valley, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on March 22, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Sam Sandusky was born in Bronte, Texas to Jesse | ||||||
6 | Mack and Martha (Lowry) Sandusky on September 25, 1931; he | ||||||
7 | attended schools in Gainesville, Texas and then served in the | ||||||
8 | United States Army during the Korean War; he married JoAnn | ||||||
9 | Hedrick on August 28, 1953; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Sam Sandusky owned Sandusky Construction, Quint | ||||||
11 | City Barricade; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, Sam Sandusky enjoyed stock car racing, rodeos, and | ||||||
13 | running heavy equipment; and
| ||||||
14 | WHEREAS, Sam Sandusky was preceded in death by his parents | ||||||
15 | and his wife, JoAnn; and

16 | WHEREAS, Sam Sandusky is survived by his sons, Jim (Cindy) | ||||||
17 | Sandusky, Todd (Kelli) Sandusky, and Scott Sandusky; his | ||||||
18 | brother, Billy Joe (Betty) Sandusky; his grandchildren, Cassie | ||||||
19 | (Nate) Leffler, Jessica (Ben) Proust, Zane (Cory Wessells) | ||||||
20 | Sandusky, Erica Sandusky, and Landon Sandusky; his |
