2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of Frederick Lewis Guldin of Oak Park, who | ||||||
4 | passed away on August 15, 2014; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Frederick Guldin was born in Loves Park on | ||||||
6 | February 25, 1940; he served for 4 years in the United States | ||||||
7 | Navy; and
| ||||||
8 | WHEREAS, Frederick Guldin worked as a switchman for Conrail | ||||||
9 | and Norfolk Southern railroads for 43 years; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, Frederick Guldin enjoyed working on his home, | ||||||
11 | fishing, and spending weekends in the country with his family; | ||||||
12 | and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Frederick Guldin was married to Lois (nee Norris) | ||||||
14 | for 40 years; he previously was married to Lois (nee Juravik) | ||||||
15 | Black; and
| ||||||
16 | WHEREAS, Frederick Guldin was preceded in death by his | ||||||
17 | step-son, Robert Thivel; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Frederick Guldin is survived by his wife, Lois; | ||||||
19 | his children, Christine Busch, Jennifer (Harry) Forberg, and |

1 | Russell (Aimee) Guldin; his step-children, Linda (Peter) | ||||||
2 | Balderas, Lawrence (Marilyn) Thivel, Joseph Petruzelli, and | ||||||
3 | Barbara (Bruce) Kneeland; 17 grandchildren; and 7 | ||||||
4 | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | Frederick Lewis Guldin, and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
8 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
9 | further

10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
