SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Norma S. Knox of Monroe, Wisconsin, who
4passed away on September 28, 2014; and
5 WHEREAS, Norma Knox was born in Ringwood on August 20, 1932
6to Leo and Mary (nee Schmitt) Hiller; she graduated from high
7school in McHenry and married Robert W. Knox, Sr. on January
827, 1951 at St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church in
9Johnsburg; and
10 WHEREAS, Norma Knox and her husband farmed in the McHenry,
11Crystal Lake, and Monroe, Wisconsin areas all of their lives;
12she also worked for Colony Brands, Inc. in Monroe for 17 years
13before retiring; and
14 WHEREAS, Norma Knox was a member of St. Victor Catholic
15Church in Monroe, Wisconsin; and
16 WHEREAS, Norma Knox was preceded in death by her husband,
17Robert; sons, Joseph and James; her parents; and her brother,
18Paul Hiller; and
19 WHEREAS, Norma Knox is survived by her children, Michael
20Knox, Judy (Kenneth) Stoerp, Janet Weidner, Theodore Knox,

1Timothy (Cheryl) Knox, Mary (Alan) Hafferkamp, Robert W.
2(Kelly) Knox, Jr., and Annette (Chris) Adrian; grandchildren,
3William (Megan), Jordan, Kaytlyn, Lauren, Steven, Morgan,
4Kristine, Jenny, Jordyn, Noah, and Ayshia Knox, Nicole
5(Spencer) Huard, Jamie (Chris) Akens, James (Alicia) Weidner,
6Brittany and Blake Hafferkamp, Cassie and Melissa Adrian, and
7James (Jen), David (Lacy), and Jessica Stoerp;
8great-grandchildren, Chase, Oliver, Justin and Jevin Stoerp,
9Cory and Molly Huard, Abby Moore, and soon-to-be twin boys
10Akens; her sister, Grace (Donald) Bentz; brother, Lee
11(Bernadette) Hiller; and special friends, Shirley Knox, Carol
12Knox, Renea Knox, Vern Weidner, and Sara Harvel; therefore, be

14 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Norma S. Knox, and extend our sincere condolences to her
17family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
18further
19 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Norma Knox as an expression of our
21deepest sympathy.
