2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of William D. "Bill" Hansen of East Moline, | ||||||
4 | who passed away on March 19, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, Bill Hansen was born in Streator to Elmer and | ||||||
6 | Marie (Marx) Hansen on November 14, 1927; he graduated from | ||||||
7 | Ottawa Township High School in 1945; he then graduated from St. | ||||||
8 | Ambrose College and received his master's degree from Western | ||||||
9 | Illinois University; he married Barbara J. "Mic" McCoy in | ||||||
10 | Moline on June 3, 1950; and
| ||||||
11 | WHEREAS, Bill Hansen worked for the East Moline School | ||||||
12 | District #37 as a teacher and principal for 30 years; and
| ||||||
13 | WHEREAS, Bill Hansen served in the Army Signal Corps; he | ||||||
14 | was a member of Illinois Retired Teachers, the Moline American | ||||||
15 | Legion, and Faith Lutheran Church in Moline; he was a lifetime | ||||||
16 | member of the Illinois PTA; he was proud of his Danish | ||||||
17 | heritage; his greatest pride and joy was his family; and
| ||||||
18 | WHEREAS, Bill Hansen was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
19 | his wife, Barbara; and his sister, Arlene; and
| ||||||
20 | WHEREAS, Bill Hansen is survived by his children, Thomas E. |

2 | his grandchildren, D. Zackary, Nickolis L., and McKenzie L. | ||||||

4 | great-granddaughter, Delilah Salome Lopez; therefore, be it

5 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
6 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
7 | William D. "Bill" Hansen and extend our sincere condolences to | ||||||
8 | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
9 | further

10 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
