2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | ||||||
3 | learn of the death of James Robert Halley of Colona, who passed | ||||||
4 | away on March 10, 2018; and
| ||||||
5 | WHEREAS, James Halley was born in Unionville, Missouri to | ||||||
6 | Lawrence and Leta Smith Halley on September 1, 1933; he proudly | ||||||
7 | served in the United States Army during the Korean War; he | ||||||
8 | married Beverly Jean Farnsworth in Unionville, Missouri on | ||||||
9 | January 26, 1954; and
| ||||||
10 | WHEREAS, James Halley worked for Alcoa for 36 years and | ||||||
11 | retired in 1995; and
| ||||||
12 | WHEREAS, James Halley enjoyed camping, fishing, and | ||||||
13 | spending time with family and friends at Lake Thunderhead in | ||||||
14 | Unionville, Missouri; and
| ||||||
15 | WHEREAS, James Halley was preceded in death by his parents; | ||||||
16 | his wife, Beverly; his sisters, Mary Lou Dole, Virginia Lee | ||||||
17 | Adkins, and Alice Kay Sterling; his brother, Lawrence Edmond | ||||||
18 | Halley; and his sister-in-law, Beverly Halley; and
| ||||||
19 | WHEREAS, James Halley is survived by his children, Jeanie | ||||||
20 | Lynn (Steve) Edwards, Randy Halley, Janice (Roger) Lee, and |

1 | Joyce Dian Boyd; therefore, be it

2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | ||||||
3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
4 | James Robert Halley and extend our sincere condolences to his | ||||||
5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | ||||||
6 | further

7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
